Climate
A May AMN Congress in Stowe typically brings temperatures that range from 66F (18.8C) during the day to 39F (3.8C) at night. Snow rarely happens after May 15th in northern Vermont. Migrating waterfowl and Monarch butterflies should be here to greet you as walk or hike around Stowe.
Visas and Travel Documents
Travelers to the United States may need a Visa in order to attend the Congress and / or to do additional travel. Please check with the US State Department to check on what documents you need to enter and travel within the US. As of December 2009, there are 35 countries participating in a Visa Waiver Program. Otherwise, please apply early. The State Department provides information on anticipated wait times to complete the Visa application process. When you register online, you will have the opportunity to print a registration confirmation. Please let us know if you need a letter confirming your registration to attend the Congress in order to secure a visa.
Currency
For now, the US dollar remains weak against most world currencies, making Vermont an extraordinary value.

Although Canadian currency is widely exchanged and coins used, most other currencies need to be exchanged at commercial banks or airport kiosk services. Shopping
Tourists delight in the variety of small village shops and outlets dispersed throughout Stowe. You will find crafts, blown glass, fine art, regionally-made clothing, local furniture, pottery, and gifts at over 50 locations. For your convenience, artisans and shop owners will be invited to a special marketplace for Congress guests at one of our resort partners. In addition, Stowe Mountain Lodge is developing its own boutique shopping area for your enjoyment. Fine regional Vermont artisans include Simon Pearce Glass and the Silver Forest of Vermont.
